Calendar Options

The Calendar Options page allows you to configure access and security options for your WorldClient calendar and the hour and date format used by WorldClient.

Display my hours in an AM/PM format

By default, times in WorldClient will be displayed in the 12-hour AM/PM format. Clear this checkbox if you wish to use the 24-hour format instead.

Default calendar display mode

This is the calendar view that WorldClient displays by default when you click the calendar link in the navigation pane. You may choose the Day, Week, or Month view.

First day of week

Use the drop-down box to choose the day of the week that you wish to appear first in your calendar views.

First day of work week

Use this option to set the day of the week that you wish to appear first in the LookOut theme's 5-Day Week view.

Date format

You can use this option to set the format to use for displaying dates in WorldClient. For example, "25/12/2010" for "%d/%m/%Y" or "2010-12-25" and "%Y-%m-%d". You can choose from four different date formats.

Preferred printing format (LookOut and WorldClient theme only)

This is the format that will be used when you print a calendar in the LookOut or WorldClient theme. You can choose to print a list of your appointments or print the calendar itself.

Default event length

Use this option to set the default length of your appointments, from 15 minutes to 2 hours. When creating an appointment, you can always change the appointment's End time to a different value if you do not wish to use the default value set here.

Meeting Requests

Automatically accept meeting requests and process cancellations

Check this box if you want appointment invitations to be accepted automatically. Otherwise you will have to specifically accept invitations as they arrive to your Inbox. Appointment cancellations will be processed automatically as well.

Reminders

Default reminder setting for new events

This is the default reminder setting that will be used when creating a new calendar event. You can set this option to "No reminder" or to a specific time value. If you typically, for example, set new appointments to remind you 15-minute before the start time, this option can be used to set that value automatically for all new appointments. When creating an appointment, you can always change the reminder setting to a different value if you do not wish to use the default value set here.

Send calendar and task reminders

Click this box if you wish to send email reminders for your appointments and tasks.

...send reminders even if I am an Outlook Connector user

Check this box if you also wish to send reminders when you are an Outlook Connector user.

Free/Busy

WorldClient is equipped with a Free/Busy feature, which makes it possible for an appointment planner to view the availability of potential attendees. You can access this information using the Scheduler in LookOut when creating a new appointment.

WorldClient's Free/Busy feature is also compatible with Microsoft Outlook. To use it, configure Outlook to query the URL listed below for Free/Busy data. In Outlook 2002, for example, the Free/Busy options are located under "Tools » Options » Calendar Options... » Free/Busy Options...".

Free/Busy server URL for Outlook:

http://<WorldClient><:Port>/Worldclient.dll?view=fbinfo&user=%NAME%@%SERVER%

Replace "<WorldClient>" with the IP address or domain name of your WorldClient server, and "<:Port>" with a colon and port number (if necessary). For example:

http://example.com:3000/Worldclient.dll?view=fbinfo&user=%NAME%@%SERVER%

or

http://mail.example.com/Worldclient.dll?view=fbinfo&user=%NAME%@%SERVER%

Allow users to query [xx] month(s) of my calendar free/busy information

Use this option to designate how many months worth of your calendar's Free/Busy data that others will be able to see.
