WorldClient has many different settings that allow you to customize how the different features and themes in WorldClient work; some features are available only in specific themes such as the LookOut theme. The options are broken up into subsections below to help organize them into usable pages. Some options pages may not be available to all users depending on the version of WorldClient that is being used. In the LookOut or WorldClient theme, you can quickly jump to a particular options page by clicking the Options icon. In LookOut this is located on the main navigation bar. In WorldClient it is located in the top right corner.
The personalize section of WorldClient allows you to set the language WorldClient uses, the theme you use, and different styles that certain themes may use. Additionally the preferences page allows you to set your preferences for the message list view such as the number of messages to display and the frequency that WorldClient should refresh the message listing view. Lastly, the Preferences page allows you to alter certain display features and empty trash settings so that you can efficiently handle old messages, or messages you have deleted.
The compose section of the WorldClient options allows you to set up how you prefer to compose messages. This page allows you to set whether you desire to compose in a new window, or in the default browser window WorldClient is using. You can set whether you want WorldClient to spell check your email messages before you send them.
Use the Email Templates feature to create pre-written common messages, or regularly used blocks of text to insert into messages.
Using the Autoresponder options you can set up an email message to be sent automatically in response to any messages you receive, for example to tell the sender that you are on vacation.
Email can be much easier to organize and read if you create folders and subfolders that contain messages from groups of people, or individuals. By setting up Filters to work in tandem with the folders page you can have WorldClient sort your email before you even read it. The Folders page allows you to add and delete folders and set which folders you would like to use for your trash, sent and drafts folders.
Using filters you can sort your email by different email headers to organize messages into different folders, or even move unwanted email (spam) into the trash folder so that you don't even have to look at it.
WorldClient's Calendaring features allow groups to work together with more efficiency, but some security settings may need to be in place to keep certain individuals from viewing sensitive information. The calendar section of WorldClient's options allows you to set these details and also allows you to specify which View you prefer WorldClient to open the Calendar in - month or week view.
Use the Columns screen to manage the type and order of columns that will be displayed under the Message List, Contacts, Tasks, and Notes.
If you want to collect email messages from other email accounts that are hosted by other ISP's and you have been given access to this page you can set up these collection options on the Mailboxes options page.
From this page you can download the WorldClient Instant Messenger (WorldClient IM) program to install on your Windows computer. It is an instant messaging program that you can use to communicate with other WorldClient IM users who share your email server, and it will monitor your email account for incoming mail, keep your local Windows Address Book up to date, notify you when new messages arrive, and automatically sign you in and retrieve your mail. It will also allow you to view your message count by folder, compose mail and open WorldClient all from the WorldClient IM icon on your taskbar. Some WorldClient IM features may not be available to all users.
Outlook Connector is a separate plug-in that you can download and install that will make it possible for you to synchronize your Contacts, Appointments, Tasks, Notes, and so on between Microsoft Outlook and WorldClient. Outlook Connector is not available to all users. If you do not have access to this plug-in, the Outlook Connector link will not be visible under WorldClient's Options.
If your account has been enabled to use WorldClient's BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), then the BlackBerry Management page will be listed on the Options menu. Use this page to Enterprise Activate and manage your BlackBerry device. Enterprise Activation provides seamless synchronization of data between your WorldClient/MDaemon account and BlackBerry device. Your email, calendar, contacts, and other data such as notes and tasks can be synchronized.
Some users may have an additional level of access to their mail server settings through the WebAdmin interface. This allows them to change how the MDaemon mail server handle's some advanced aspects of their email settings that cannot be managed through WorldClient. If you have access to WebAdmin then click the Advanced Settings link to open WebAdmin in a separate browser window.
